Less than a month ago, I put Ahrends Retro Combat grips on my Smiths and am very happy with their fit to my medium sized hand and their appearance.

I definitely notice the increased recoil with them on my 629 versus the Hogue rubber grips it wore before, but it's well worth it.

One of these days, I'll take some photos of them.
