I keep most of mine stashed away in the original 1000 or 500 round boxes, 99.9% of my .223 is 55 grain,I keep the heavier bullets in a separate ammo box.Same goes for my .45ACP, 99% of it is 230 grain ball, I keep the HP's and exotic stuff in separate boxes and ammo cans. The bulk of my 12 gauge is Winchester military grade 2 3/4 in 00 buck,I keep the S and B 3"Magnums separate, still, everything is by the case.I do the same thing with my .22LR, my favorites are 36 grain copper plated HP's.Not really a big deal,I'm just used to my way of doing things.

50 count boxes in Ammo cans w/desiccant. The only segregation is by caliber and whether cast or jacketed.

I keep all my reloads in ammo cans. I also store 22LR ammo loose in ammo cans. Saves on space.

Reloads I toss in a bag or an available box. However if I have purchased the ammo and have the original boxes I keep them in them. If there is an issue with a batch of ammo then the lot numbers may be important. In cases of recall having the box may be the only way to get a refund.

While I do love the tropical environment, the humidity and salt air eat everything. I always wondered how Cuba had all those vintage cars.

I just keep my stuff in military ammo cans by caliber. Never thought about desicant, figured if it was good enough for the military it's good enough for me. Haven't had any issues with it.
