Owning a Kimber is no longer an anathema. There is a small, but vocal Kimber following here.

Well, I still won't recommend them to anyone; but I'm glad that you've got a good one.

I'm of a mind that "a shooter is a shooter," and deserves the support of other shooters. It doesn't really matter what you shoot; as long as you shoot!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

Rick, for some reason I can't explain I never saw your intro thread before now but better late than never, right? I haven't posted much [yet] but love to peruse through the wealth of info that can be found here. Glad to see you here, too since I "know" you from a couple of other sites and I hope to see you again in person at another class put on by brownie at Volusia or Okeechobee again this year!

Hey Greg!

Great hear from you.

Actually I'll be attending the March 28th and 29th threat focused pistol course that brownies putting on over in Volusia for some of the less mobile folks through our other forum.

If you want to come down early; there's a slot or two still available.

Round count for this one will be 1000-1100 rounds.

I'm calling LaQuinta today to make my reservation.

Take care my friend,

Rick, welcome from Orlando. I was at Benning in 1975, riding a bed at Martin Army Hospital for about a year after a medical speed-bump.

Thanks!

I ETS'd from Benning 28March75, and used to go to the hospital on occasion when I had a bad migraine.

Never had to do any inpatient stays, though. They'd shoot me up with Demerol, and someone would drive me home. Usually, when I woke up the next day; the migraine would be gone.

I can't imagine being impatient for a week, much less a year; tough duty for sure!

I had to spend a weekend inpatient a few years ago with an AFIB incident, which is a hilarious story in itself.

Glad they got you straightened out!
