Yep, plywood for the test.

I want to see what all is involved, what order to make the parts, how much work is involved, how things fit, what can I do better, what jigs/fixtures will I have to make, what do I need to adjust or change from my design, how much will I have to charge, etc.

It's quite a lot of work.

I think this is gonna be a nice piece, I just hope folks like it and want to buy one. I'd love to see em in use.

I really enjoyed seeing the photos people posted with their pistols on the little coffin stands.

OK, photos of the second prototype, made from oak is available for viewing on my web site.

I don't have photos of the interior as I don't have the interior finished but it will be padded and probably lined with red velvet. This will be the basic design however It may change just a bit as I perfect my construction technique or improve the design.

Right now I'm just check for interest as I have to buy a couple of tools if I'm going to make more than just the prototype.

Let me know what you think. I would also like to know your opinion about the price; If we aren't even close I may not be able to produce this item.

Also, due to the complexity and amount of work required and depending on the number of orders I receive I can't guarantee a delivery time. Basically I'll begin yours when I receive payment and I'll get it to you ASAP, but you'll get it when it's complete.

Well, looks like oak is going to be a problem.

I made the second one from wood I had on hand. Went to Lowe's to buy more wood and they don't have everything I need, plus, an oak one is gonna be really expensive. What with material costs and my time/labor I'm looking at more than $200.

So, I purchased some nice pine. Still not gonna be cheap. I'll let y'all know when I figure the material costs but I think we're still looking at around $175. And, I think there is going to be a minor design change.

Probably not gonna sell too many of em.

We'll have to see what kind of interest there is once the first one is complete.

Yep, gets first shot at the first complete one.
