Looking at the pic my fist thought was you should have a case made for them. Like a dueling set. Then I remembered your track record and they may not be together very long!

Do we have an "Ignore Button" here?

For the record, I have EVERY Colt (and revo for that matter) I've ever purchased!

Cool, is that a gunmetal gray color? Was the finish shot or did you just want something different?

The finish was originally blue, but Armoloy was the latest and greatest at the time and since it was a carry gun for me off duty I thought it was a good idea. Back then early 70's, it only cost $50 so I shipped it off to Texas and had it done. It has served me well all these years and actually is easier to keep clean, since the finish is kinda sorta like Teflon. I guess you could call it gray or even a brushed finish?

^^^ Very cool back story on the coating. I think the fact that it's a period "hard hat" really adds some panache!
