A couple specific pieces are earmarked for me like an NDM-86, the non-bring back Luger, and a Norinco AK-47 Semi Auto Underfolder, a 38-40WCF Ruger Vaquero. The other side gets an Artilery Luger bring back with stock and holster, an original 1910 Winchester 93, a Smith&Wesson .38, a Colt Woodsman, and a Ruger M-77. All the rest are to be split evenly between us. I sometimes feel like the NFL draft board with my top pics and down to ones I really would pass on.
The Artilery Luger would be considered to be the jewel. He go it on the boat returning from Germany. A buddy needed $50 for a poker game. He said he shoved it in his pants and never took it out till he got home. Had the stock and holster in his bag along with a 1903 Colt, and a couple others he is fuzzy on. When he got stateside the ones in the bag turned up missing when his bag got to him. The holster and stock were still in there. He declared the On in his pants and got some paperwork for it that has since been lost over the course of 70 years or so but he still has the Luger and the story.

You are lucky to have such an awesome grandfather! Was he the type to tell stories of his adventures? He sounds like someone with great taste for firearms.

He told a couple stories about the war. He was an MP with Timberwolves. He always downplayed what he did but told stories of tracers going by him, and his squad being pinned down in the basement while Mausers were stuck in the windows looking for them. He carried an STG44 while over there and loved to tell how he was on guard duty and an officer didn't want to give the password till he racked the bolt on the STG44. Password came out real quick at that point.

You know. . . firing any of these very old weapons can be extremely dangerous. I hereby volunteer to vet them you--all in the interest of safety of course. I promise to return them only once I am conpletely satisfied that they are safe.

I understand your concern, however as an experienced reloader, I am capable of producing reduced power loads and feel perfectly safe. I thank you for you concern and will keep you in mind when the low serial numbered SVT Russian Sniper is ready to make some noise!
