coulda done without a half picture of your butt. Lane does great work. i would think it will work out itself but what do i know. im just a peckerwood that lives in the hills with too many guns.

Boy, that first picture takes me back. In the early years, I was using a much lighter, lower grade leather - with my supplier now, I'm getting much better leather at virtually the same cost. I was hand stitching everything - it litterally took me 4 hours to stitch a holster. Now, it's about 30 minutes if I don't get distracted or stitch my fingers to the holster.
I've also changed to better quality dyes. The first holster was with a water based dye that was supposed to give it an antiqued look. Looked great until it wore off. Ah, live and learn. On the front sight - I don't put anything on the top of the gun or front sight when I mold it. I know some guys do. Would it be better if I did? Maybe a small dowel along the top to make a channel or something? I'm always looking for ways to make a better holster - give me your honest thoughts. Thanks for your support Larry!
