I have the KZ-45. Carried for a bit. Love it.
If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to order the Spec-Ops 9.

Any idea why they quit making the KZ?

No. Like I said, I love it. It's a tack driver and worked flawlessly with everything I fed through it. It fits my hand comfortably. I still enjoy shooting it.

I read that they wanted their brand to remain "pure" in the world of 1911's. If my memory jogs I'll find the thread.

Don't know....been scouring two forums since I posted to find that thread. Can probly ask the Wilson rep on ar15. I don't get on much the last two months, today and tomorrow I am finally "Home Alone", and loving it.
But I haven't been on ar15 in a year before today so I am looking for some slightly dated threads.

Didn't find the one I was referring, but I found this on 1911forums, from Wilson Combat Rep:

We have lots of KZ mags and intend to keep them in stock for our customers.

In order to build the KZ to an appropriate level of "Wilson" fit and finish, the cost kept going up and the sales kept creeping down. Thats the bottom line.
