Mike, you will lose one round of capacity due to the longer front-leg of the Wilson follower. I have three of these and carry them every day without a bit of worry. If you want eight, load the mag, rack the slide, remove the mag and put another round in it.

Personally, I'll trade one round I really don't need for 100% faultless operation anytime.

Hit it right on....the kit is better than factory...its a great trade off.

It's not a carry mag anyway...it's a 20 year old mag that was in my safe. I carry 47D's

loaded it with 7 rounds and chunked it in the safe to see if the spring takes a set. If not, it will continue to be a range mag...I have 4 Wilson 47D's I carry, so we shall see
