Hi Paul, and welcome from the Raleigh area.

I also recently acquired a Dan Wesson Specialist. In fact was shooting it today alongside my Colt GCNM. I like the Specialist better, and am more accurate with it.

I got mine a few weeks ago from Carolina Gunrunners in Raleigh.

What part of NC are you from?

Thank you, and congrats on your Specialist too. I live in Asheville. But, am originally from Heaton,NC between Elk Park and Banner Elk,NC Pretty much right on the state line between NC and Tennessee.
