Intriguing. Very nice. According to Snopes.com, the story is true. Somewhere over the past couple years though... someone added the "13th hand" sentences at the very bottom. Definitely NOT true. When asked, the sculptor replied "13 Hands? Who needed 13 hands? Twelve was enough"
Of course 12 were enough. They belonged to U.S. Marines.
