For the stock receiver, extension, I know I need a bolt buffer assembly and spring, etc. But how much weight I'm not sure, and I have no idea how it might affect recoil, etc. I also need the gas system as well (block and line).

Thanks all!
Usually when you buy your hand guard it’ll come with the barrel nut. Question is. Are you getting a free float hand guard or old school M4 style?

I’ve always used a carbine strength/weight buffer and spring and have had no problems. I’ve shot 75gr Match with that set up.

The gas system depends on your answer for the hand guard question above. If running a free float HG, then you will need a low profile gas block. If your barrel is dimpled for proper alignment, then you won’t have any problems lining it up properly. If not you can use chalk lines to line the block up with the gas port on the barrel.

I'm looking at the MAGPUL MOE M-LOK HG.

Sorry for the pic size

I don't think it comes with a barrel nut, but I have this one on my "wish list..."

I actually have a YT video on how to dimple it for the gas block. but we'll see...

Oh, and my 2nd order shipped from Primary Arms today, including the barrel, lower parts kit and the receiver extension.

We're making some progress. I'll get back in another few weeks with the other part orders.
