served 1.5 years in Chicagos WEstside VAMC--those were the best years of my professional career. I still love to help our vets. IF I get to retire, I plan on volunteering @ a local VAMC and an animal shelter(If I can handle THAT---I am like Ralph Kramden--I try to adopt all the strays I can-- > 30 cats and now 3 pit bulls in 33 years--not bad I think)

I can never do enough to pay back our Veterans for all they have given me. I would not be the physician I am without them

I've change from a big ship builder/fixer to a Federal employee. That way I get to salvage 10 years of Coast Guard (Military) active duty.....Back in the 70's and 80's when I was in we didn't get paid squat so buying in was dirt cheap. The first Gov't retirement check in about 3 years will have me ahead of the game.

I'm sorry I lied it will be the second check ;<)
