If I owned a local company there, I'd hire him as a security guard in a heartbeat. I mean, he's gonna be Sheriff for cryin' out loud. Why not score some Brownie points?

I would as well, but it's the county that has to offer him something so he can keep his pension going as well as his healthcare plan. He has his family to think of.

The hope is to keep his benefits and such. 5 months is a long time to be out of work. Sad thing is in that county there is not much for work for a LEO.

this is just a dumb situation!
