I have been a strong advanced guard supporter for years, but no longer. My research early on confirmed they were straight up. I will continue to support veteran needs but the WW Project is off my list forever. If the satisfaction of helping wounded warriors is not enough to stimulate superior work from the employees they need to work somewhere else doing something different. The 26 million bucks spent on esteem conventions and travel is immoral and should be criminal. Nardizzi is a disgrace. I haven't been this pissed off since my Sgt. Major told me years ago about the Red Cross selling donuts and coffee at Inchon to the few frozen Marine survivors who managed to fight their way out of the hell that was Chosin Reservoir when the Chinese entered the Korean war.

WW has been off my list....forever. They suck when it comes to % of donations actually reaching Veterans.

Bill O'Reilly on FOX is a big supporter......BUT.....he got wind of bullsh*t at WW, is doing an in depth investigation and will air the results this coming week.

That's a damn shame. I have been weary of them for a long time for other suspicions, but this confirms everything.

This pisses me off!!!!!!

A year or two ago I got wind they were anti 2A, to the point of lobbying for disarming vets. They initially said it was just so they could protect gets with PTSD and their families but when pressed during an interview with a blogger or other type person, when asked point blank the head tried to double speak around the issue but when pressed he said WW is against vets possessing arms and they would continue that stance and aligned them selves with other anti 2A groups and polititions. My memory on the facts is fuzzy so I will try to find links to back it up or revise.

However it was enough for me to put WW in the do not donate or support list. It was bad because I had heard good positive things but when I thought back it was more good positive things from the boots on the ground workers, not the organization itself.

It was largely discussed back in Nov of 2012. Here are the links,

The local range I work for tried to work something out with them and offered a donation. WWP turned the money and them down. Something to the affect of they do not believe and support what the ranges does.
So, yeah. They've been on my $hit list for a while now.

Gary Sinese foundation is, IMHO, a great alternative. Gary is the real deal.

I love dogs. Have you researched charities were the money goes to dog training so the dog can be placed with a PTSD veteran? Really powerful way of helping a vet with PTSD.

"Our mission is to ensure that Veterans and their families receive programs and services that will help them acclimate back to family and civilian life. We will accomplish this by:
Providing highly trained psychiatric and mobility service dogs to veterans of all eras suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, and physical limitations at no cost.
Connecting Veterans to employment opportunities within our network of Veteran-focused organizations.
Building a community of peer support for Veterans and their families through programs, events, and social media.
The Battle Buddy Foundation was founded by Veterans to serve Veterans. All our efforts are aimed at effecting long term and positive change in the lives of combat veterans and their families."

"Paws and Stripes is a nonprofit organization providing service dogs for wounded military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury through integrating service dog training and education with mental health support.

We help veterans so they can live the full and rich lives they deserve.

Our dogs come only from local rescues. Our service dog trainers teach the dogs and the veterans as a team.

These dogs are not pets, they are service dogs with the complete protection and rights granted by the American with Disabilities Act.

Our program is funded through generous grants and donations from people like you. Our veterans are never obligated to pay a penny of the program's costs to enroll."
