I only recently learned that I might, nonetheless, become a part of this organization and work toward further enlightenment while I wait. I realize that I cannot become completely enlightened as yet, not only because I haven't encountered my (dare I say first?) DW, but, I must admit that I sometimes carry a lesser weapon than a 1911. I am trying to quit. I look forward to your guidance and I will try to be worthy.

Best wishes and Happy Holidays (Including Merry Christmas, if you're so inclined).

Welcome to the forum. I loved Texas when I lived in San Antonio from 1973-1976. I wouldn't worry too much about not having a DW 1911 yet, as my felow forum members will most certainly lead you astray in that direction.

Merry Chrismas.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I don't have an STI, yet, either.

My 1911s:

1927 Argentine Colt ('sistema' for many) .45ACP
Colt's Series 80 Government Model .45ACP
Colt's Series 80 Government Model .45ACP
Colt's Commander (1976, so it's a LW) .45ACP
Springfield Armory .45ACP (3" V10)
Peters-Stahl 10mm

1911 style:
Para-Ordnance LDA Carry .45ACP

Star PD .45ACP
Star BM 9mm
Star BKM 9mm
Star DK .380ACP

Of course, I have some other stuff but, not worth mentioning (since they're not 1911s.

Best,

Will
