The Siege of St Augustine 1740
On Saturday after the match, the SGM and I went to the Castillo di San Marco to survey the scene of the real Siege of St Augustine in 1740
The Siege of St. Augustine was a military engagement that took place during June - July 1740. It was a part of the much larger conflict known as the War of Jenkins' Ear, between Great Britain and Spain. it was very interesting and highly recommended by both the SGM and me. A view of the Atlantic Troops practicing drill in the courtyard. The SGM and yours truly.
