Question Colt Python. 4 inch Blued. Built 1977

OK, here we go, I have an opportunity to buy a Colt Python 4 inch barrel, blued, from a guy I know. Good Man. It's in Very Good Shape. For a 1977 built gun, it's real nice, It has been fired a lot, but the action is really smooth and light. It's in time. Has original grips and a Pachmayr grip. No Box or papers.
Guy wants $2000.00. I think that is a good price. Is it? If were to grade it, I'd say 90%. The finish is Very Good, the action is very good. Has some wear on the frame in front of the cylinder, but not abnormal.
Never handled one before, but the action in double action is very light and smooth. I think that is Normal for these hand fitted wheel guns?
Opinions appreciated! I am conflicted about buying it.
Please help Me out here guys
Thanks!

No freeman shall be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson
“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” Thomas Jefferson
