Default Emerson sheepdog rangemaster

I've been carrying this knife everyday for over a year so I figured I'd share some impressions. First off a little about my knife background, I use my knife everyday being that I work at a garden center, I cut everything from rope, plants, tree branches, and cardboard numerous times a day. I've owned 20 or so $100-300 knives and have sold or traded most of them. My prior edc was a zt 0562cf. I consider myself an amateur but extremely enthusiastic.

This is actually my 3rd emerson. First I had a 7 Tanto and I really did not like it because of the very small blade and stiff opening for the price tag. Second i picked up one of the cheap kershaw emerson collaborations which was a nice little beater knife for the money but I gave it to my dad. Fast forward and the 0562cf was nice but not as smooth as I knew it could be and I was really missing the wave feature. Emerson had just developed this new model and incorporated ball bearings and a flipper for the first time which sounded like a win. Overall I've been extremely happy so far. Originally the scales were very aggressive but now they have smoothed down and are nice. No matter which way you try and open the knife it's super smooth... like it's riding on ball bearings. The wave gives you instant access to the knife with one hand which is arguably the selling point of emersons. I only added an oversized Ti thumb disk for looks. Sharpens up quick and easy. I'd like to see them start using some better steels for the money but I get along just fine with the cpm154

Tldr: go buy this knife if you are in the market.
