Gibbs carries a SIG because that's what NCIS requires him to carry. I'm sure that if he had his choice, it would be his 1911. Both the 1911 and the character have so much in common. Both are "older" and "matured," yet have been able to survive and change over their lifetimes. Not to mention that I wouldn't want to be on the business end of either one. My vote is still for "Gibbs."
