grips from start to finish.
I was recently asked if I had any pictures showing a set of blanks turning into grips, I just so happen to have some so I thought i'd post them up.
the blanks are English Walnut. the holes are drilled. grips are fit to the frame and the plunger tube cut is made. the grips are rough shaped. then they are sanded to a finer grit. they are sanded to the shape I want. grips are then hand sanded to 220 grit, the covered plunger tube area is shaped, and the magazine release notch is cut. the ambi safety cut is made. and the MSH pin relief Cut. the grips are then sanded to 320 grit and the grip screw shelf's are cut. the grips are finish sanded and the first coat of finish is applied. and finally the finished grips.
