Default New Beavertail on my Rock

Here's some progress pics of the Ed Brown Memory Groove Beavertail I'm installing on my Rock. Still have alot of blending to do but, it already looks better than the drop-in did. Most of the blending will be on the bottom and I still have to even it out on top.

I still have to mate the frame and grip lines at the top-sides, even out the top, contour the thumb-safety, and blend in the entire bottom. Got that far and discovered I was out of both 600 and 1200 grit paper, cold-blued it to keep the rust off til I get to the Auto-Paint store to get the wet/dry.

New pics, top half blended and contoured. Sorry, but the lighting isn't good. Take more tomorrow.

Hey Dave, What did you end up finishing the finish (I know that's a strange sentence) with? did you just blue it to death or coat it with something else?
