I just scanned my VA ID Card....yup, SSAN came up. Only issue I see is if someone nefarious gets your card. I keep my card locked up. OTOH, my US Army Retired ID Card still has my SSAN on it. I need to get a new one. When my wife got her new ID card, it has some kind of ID number, but not her SSAN.

When I was in the "Old Corps" we had service numbers, now they use their SSN's as service numbers I'm told.
