A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

They did but restructured. The did some good but now they are doomed to file. According to the news they have had lousy investing after sandy hook. They were cleared in any wrong doing but they have had very week investors and were loosing money quickly. I am sure they will either be bought out or absorbed by another maker. Either way I feel Remington is more soon.

This actually is messed up. They make the AR15 that shot up sandy hook and they got blamed and targeted. How stooped are Americans. If it was a car driven through the school they would not have gone after ford or whoever. So dumb

Remington killed itself. Recalls of the 700 and the R51 put them on shaky ground with buyers. A couple lawsuits thrown in combined with mismanagement up top. Colt would be in the same boat if not for its government contracts propping them up.

Pretty much. To be honest the only firearms they had that were good was the 700 and 870 pump. The pump is still pretty good but the newer 700 is mediocre at best. There are plenty of bolt guns that’ll outshine the 700 today. Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR), Savage M10, Tikka 3, ect.... and for me, I pr fee the Moss 500/590 over the 870. So, Rem has nothing I can’t live without. I believe the screwed up Para Ordanance as well when they bought hem out.

After reading this and some other articles I don't believe there is anyways this will end well for Remington. They are down really to two options at this point. First a company or investment group buys them out to save the name. This is a long shot with all the issues they are having. Second they just close the doors and walk away, this is a actual reality. Before 2018 is complete we could see the company just dissolve ....this is a crazy time folks.
