Yesterday, a couple COTEPians and friends got togther for some range time. This was mostly a long gun day with Ed shooting his AR and my friend Pat ( a regular) shooting his Moisine Nagant. At the end of the day, we got a few minutes of pistol time. I fired first 8 rounder in my Valor with no issues other than crappy shooting. Second mag shot fine til last round and I had a fairlure to feed. I did some searching on this problem and found weak mag springs could be the culprit caused at this point by a mag being long term preloaded. I unloaded all my Valor Mags (10 fit) and let them 'rest' overnight and till today. I fired 10 mags of 4 rounds each to test functionand found all 10 mags functioned properly, chambering all rouds with out a hitch. So now, I will be rrotating my uploaded mags.
As a secondary issue, the target used is attached. about 12 paces. ![]()
