thanks guys! What you think about my idea of leaving the grip safety black to go with the hammer, FPS, & ejector? Im kind of digging the look, but want some other opinions. I can change them all...

some changes to my SR1911
Got some parts in today that I bought from a guy on 1911forum, so figured I might as well fit them and see how it looks.
I still need to reshape the back of the thumb safety to match the frame...

that is what I heard also. it is possible for particles of the steel wool to imbed in the stainless.....and then they rust.
Scotchbrite pads are what I heard to use. Auto body supply places...
