KZ-45 Range Report.
A few days ago the KZ-45 by Wilson Combat was mentioned and I promised to do a range report on mine. It is a 1911 style handgun with a polymer frame. It utilizes double stacked magazines which hold 10 rounds.
I've had it for over ten years now and carried it for a short period. When I first got it worked flawlessly. Didn't have to go through a break in period. It shot and still shoots everything I put through it, including our duty ammo which was Federal 230 grain Hydro-shoks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psb8475905.jpg 7 yard (21 ft.) grouping. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps30a7f34c.jpg 10 yard (30 ft.) grouping. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ps6210eb5d.jpg Grip as about the same to my Glock 19 in width and thickness, but as you can see the back strap is beveled around both edges giving it a more slimmer feel. It does not give you that blockish feel that Glock does. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...psec2c1009.jpg When I took it to the range I was asked if I would sell it. Nope! If there's any negative is that you grip queens can't put custom grips on it. :) |
How does the balance compare to a typical 1911?

Also, I forgot to mention the trigger breaks at about a crisp 3.5 lbs which is what you would expect of a Wilson Combat pistol. |
