Browning 1911A1

Ok we were over at LGS yesterday afternoon, and he had a pistol I hadn't seen. It's a shrunken 1911 in 22LR. in fact it's an exact 1911 copy by Browning but only 85% sized.
My reason for asking is my granddaughter wants to start shooting and have me and my older bro. do the instruction. I'm thinking this would be a great way for her to start and it's small enough grip and its a 1911 and its a 22........
Anyway, do any of you guys have one, shot one or any info? I've read several reviews from the big forum to other Internet and all seem to like this gun........

This shows the difference between a standard and the 85% 22LR from Browning.

Pretty neat Ron, never seen one of those.

If you did not mention in the post about the size I would have thought that it was a Compact or Mid Size.

Of course looking at the slide and frame you can tell it is not a Compact or a Mid Size though!!!:)

It fits my wife's hand and I think it'll fit my granddaughters hand. Reviews I've read say its a nice shooter and being 22lr should make it a good training pistol

i like them, they feel good. i have not fired one. they are spendy though. all most 600.

I picked up one of these for 250.

Marvel unit 2.

Yeah I have a NH Bob Marvel conversion that I use on a full size frame but its too big for granddaughter to correctly hold and shoot plus it's heavier than the 85%gun.

That's pretty cool. Might have to get one for my girls.
