Hi to all. First post here. Been lurking at 1911Forum for a couple years. Any place there’s a 1911 discussion I know I’ll enjoy. I am a retired State Policeman with 28 years. Now days I only shoot for practice and pleasure. I hope I can contribute something useful. In any case I’m glad to be here.

When I first saw your handle I thought either you were from South Dakota where the buffalo roam or were a Harley rider who stayed at the Buffalo Chip Campground during the Sturgis Rally .:D But I see Louisiana as your locale. So much for first impressions from your handle before reading your post :)

Thanks guys. Chip was an old nickname and as I grew large over time a fellow shooter gave me that name and of course with kindly shooters around it stuck. Too much effort to change now.
