New RIA in my Future? POLL

Possible... The question is: I am already invested in a few 45 1911's, and am thinking: Do I NEED another one in .45? Or should I consider a 9mm or a .38 Super. So, if I can figure out how to do a poll, I'm asking the question.
9mm RIA or .38 Super RIA. If I get the .38 Super, I'll reload for it, no question!

I like 9mm because ammo is cheaper and if you want to reload it you can generally get once fired brass for little or nothing. I like my 38 Super too, it's been more reliable than the 9's but it cost more to shoot.

I want a 38super

I voted 38 super because I have always wanted one of these:

$126/1000 for 38 Super Brass at Starline. Would last around 5000 rounds with 5 reloads per piece IF I was able to pick up every round off the range (not...). Small primer, 4.7 gr of powder... really inexpensive to reload. Some suppliers recommend loading the .38 cal (.357) 125 gr JHP... for which I have some 4000 rounds stockpiled (misordered from Montana Gold). Hmmmm... I'm thinking....

I would think running .357 38 Special through it would wear it out quicker. I like to shoot light bullets in my 38 Super race gun so I run 115 grain .355 9mm bullets or sometimes 95 grain .356 380 bullets. I'm also using Starline +P brass.

Interesting Alex. The actual size for 38 Super is a .356 fmj round nose. Many people are running .355 (9mm, 115 gr.) because it is an easy bullet to find. Hornady recommends a .357 round, although I would want to slug my barrel to find out what the exact tolerance is. IF I could use .357, which is only 1/1000 above the recommended .356 size, then the lead MAY actually spin better as it exits.

Or NOT. in whcich case I just had me a Kaboom!
