RIA Compact Range Report

I'll have a couple of pictures when I get to a place where I can post 'em (didn't happen otherwise, right?) Anyway, I can safely say, that was the best $400 I've ever spent. Period. I am extremely pleased with this little gun, and expect it to take a prominent position in my carry rotation.

Well done RIA...

I needed therapy in a bad way. Between 2 hours late yesterday and 2 hours this morning with a customer screaming, bitching and yelling - I needed some serious range time. 200 rounds of .45ACP later, I'm doing better.

Pictures...

Here's some pictures from my therapy session today...

Here's the first 5 rounds - at 3 yards:

And here's the next 10 rounds - at 5 yards:

I was shooting two different loads today - one using Clays' powder and one using Power Pistol. The PP load is much snappier. And, as I collected and inspected brass, I noticed a couple of cases are mangled:

I collected three of them - almost identically mangled. It looks like they might be getting hung up whilst being ejected.

Other than some brass being rendered unusable - it was a fantastic range visit. I'm very happy with my new purchase, and suspect there are more Rocks in my future.

Usually - but sometimes it just takes a bit more... :D

Thanks for the range report.

I plan to spend some quality time fondling full sized and compact tactical RIAs this weekend for a future purchase. I'm leaning more toward the full sized at this point.
