Another New Poodle Shooter

I saw Pig's post on his new Poodle shooter, and I had to post this one that I got this morning. Just like Pig, I'm not using this as an erector set, just got very good pricing on lowers and uppers from Palmetto State Armory. Bought some uppers, bought some lowers, bought some bolt carrier groups.... and some rear sights... Well... you know the rest. Fun tomorrow at the range!

PSA Upper and Lower Hardware, Magpul furniture. The uppers are "first run", the lowers are supposedly "blems". Neither me or my buddy Dave S. could find anything more than a machine tool mark inside the mag well. Nothing that could be considered a blemish. Good product!

PSA's ARs are hard to ignore, especially considering their prices.

Nice snag.

Got to agree on this.... the price was right, the quality appears to be there. The barrel isn't chromed, but I'm not running through rice paddy's either... the bcg is chrome lined, so cleaning may be a bit easier, but it wasn't a deal breaker either way. If I'm not mistaken, there are only four or five lower receiver manufacturers of AR's... FN, Anderson, and a couple other small ones... they punch brand names on the receiver for a price. Hey... Maybe "Dafadda" brand Lowers would sell?

Here's mine, it started out as a Bushmaster Patrolman's Carbine and then I replaced the fire control group, bolt carrier group, etc.

Nice rifle! You get bonus points for pics on hard stone granite instead of foo foo granny sheets. I was torn between a mid length and a carbine length for the last barrel I bought but going pinned and welded 14.7" was what I went with and that meant another carbine.
