Tuesday Is Veterans Day

Please take a few minutes to Realize Freedom comes at a cost.
It took many men and womens lifes to get where we are right now.
Some of them have never been accounted for POW/MIA this Monday night before you go to bed hit your knees and say a Prayer for all of them.
Some of them are still suffering for us PTSD and bad night mares.
And lost limbs etc............

To All my Friends who were in the Military I want to say Thank You.

As my signature line states:

I Am a Very Proud United States American Sailor who has been in Combat.

Amen! And again Amen.

I purchased a brick in memory of my father for the new Army museum.

O thus be it ever when free-men shall stand
Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust!”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Heartfelt thanks to all my fellow veterans. Patriotism has evolved since many of us served, some better, some worse.

It seems we are all finally appreciated these days with all the veteran's discounts, blue label Glocks and more.

I'm stopping eating tomorrow in anticipation of my yearly free meals! Kidding, but I spoke with a young veteran today who has all the restaurants mapped and planned, a virtual eatathon!

God bless America and it's defenders, past and present.

I know I rib the vets who were members of other services here, but, push come to shove, we all fought on the same side of the creek, and I'm proud of all y'all. Don't forget Mary's daughter Em and her hubby who are deployed.

And I've made tons of civilian friends here, too...and I tend to detest civilians. Well, except for girls. I like girls :D

I walk into any TGIFriday's, Ruby Tuesday's, even Denny's. Then I spot the old Military guy. He will stand out, usually by his hat. Then I walk right up to him and ask to pay for his meal. He will always decline. Then I Thank him for his service and pay his tab anyway. Every year for about 15 years now, that's what I do. Best I got.
