I was given a gift today that took my breath away

I'm going to state this......I have never had anything really great given to me for free and ever really won anything crazy...

But this is the package the wife came home with tonight.....

It included a MKIII Ruger bull barrel 22/45 and a SA 1911 GI....

My wife's ex husband who I introduced to shooting figured I would be a better owner of these then anyone who he might sell too. If he doesn't accept my offer of a couple holsters for the appreciation there is going to be a karma by me, But it will be a custom kydex made my Panther holsters.

I have a MKII standard I bought from a buddy when I moved into the house that his dad used up in VA as a snake gun. He has been bugging me lately to buy it back from me. I might have to sell it back to him. I don't want to because I love history of the pistol. He just wants to shoot a 22 at the range. He sold his fathers issued 1911 from Korea that was a colt built in 1944 according to serial number. So I am hesitant in many ways because I don't like the fact he just does that to family history. Especially sold to someone who just wanted to use it as a boat pistol.

He has become very lax with family history with his firearms and just seems to be about the money lately. I own his fathers 22, his fathers black powder, and his grandfathers 12ga DB. He sold his families smoothbore black powder his family used in the civil war as well. I don't remember the manufacture but I held it and told him to give it to a museum with his families name. He didn't do it. So his families name dies with him.

I'm sure it's all above board but my first thought was to frame Zuk for a murder funny

Arley 11-02-2014 10:30 AM

Those are really nice . WOW

milkmanjoe 11-02-2014 11:41 AM

Just proves the world doesn't have to be an ugly place.....

Caleb 11-02-2014 12:02 PM

Thought you were going to say you got the clap or something..... funny.

Seriously tho, congrats on the two awesome pistols!

zukinut 11-02-2014 12:18 PM

Thanks all. I asked my wife if he was dying or something and she said no. He gets in a mood every once in awhile and will give stuff he doesn't use anymore. I am still in a bit of shock.

He loves his glocks and his wheel guns. He has a pretty decent wheel gun selection.

sstpierre 11-02-2014 01:21 PM

Very Nice!

I just say, good things happen to good people!

Enjoy them Sir!

WOW! Congrats on the awesome gifts! Although, given the source, the whole framing for murder theory did cross my mind.
