Been wearing one for two years now. Still like new! It'll be stiff to start so, give it some time to fit your body.

How much of a difference does a 5 hole to a 7 hole make? Yea, I know.. 2 holes.. Seems there must be some difference or it wouldn't be offered. right?

Snipersnest 04-18-2012 01:14 PM

More length for when ya get old and fat?? LOL

Depends if you switch back and forth from OWB to IWB carry. I bought the 7 holer from Al for that very reason

I'm already old and fat..

I've read where people compare the 5 to 7 holes with switching from IWB to OWB but does the 1/4" difference make that much of a difference? When new the belt should sit in the center of a 5 hole belt.. as long as you measured right. That would be a snug or how I wear my belt today. If going OWB I would guess that's where it would stay? Going IWB I might have to go out another hole? Do people find the 3/4 spacing to provide a more comfortable fit.. I guess that's going to be personal choice? What's the downside to 7 holes? Seem's all of Al's photo's show 5 hole belts.

Yep, it makes a difference. I wear mine on the 4th hole when OWB and 3rd hole with IWB. The only downside is 7 hole isn't Quick Ship, I think. Still had mine in about a week and a half

I agree with others. Followed Al's advice on 7 hole for IWB and OWB and he was absolutely right. Can't imagine there's a better product, or person to work with, in the market.

I guess I'm resurrecting an old thread, but wanted to chime in about A&G Custom Gun Leather and their belts; I've got 3 and they hold up excellently. Stiff and robust; I wear the black one with my suits. I opted for the 7 holes due to the 3/4" spacing instead of 1", which gives me more finer adjustment. Solid folks over there.

I use 1.25" for dress pants, and 1.5" for casual/jeans.

Below: A & G Custom Gun Leather belt, 1.25", 2 layers of 6-7 ounce bull hide, ~.25" thick, round nickel buckle, floral Chicago screws, 7 oblong holes spaced .75" apart.
