Good info, thanks for posting ! http://www.cotep.org/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

The video about how Coronavirus kills was especially enlightening. I posted that video on another board and a healthcare professional on that board said he shared it with his colleagues, so apparently it's not common knowledge.

As a side note in the news 20 of the 70 cases appear to be getting over the virus. Apparently they didn't have a full blown bout of the Corona Virus. They only had Corona- Lite... |
We just had a huge meeting at work about this with our state heath people and the CDC and here is the skinny.
unless your old, unhealthy or have lung issues it probably will not hurt you all that much. You probably will not know you have it. Also the actual Flu is still more deadly, but time will tell on this deal if it heats up more. The numbers SO FAR are very underwhelming but the potential is kind of high. Here is a link we were given to give to the public if prompted. not sure why I would ever be asked about it, but here it is. I think its not going to be a huge deal now that the nations have grasped on how to manage it and keep it in some check. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...treatment.html |

Thanks for that info Phil !! |
The numbers out of China and Iran are meaningless. They are made up.
If you exclude China and Iran, things don't look too good: Excluding China and Iran: Confirmed: 15,093 (2,478 in the last 24 hours) Deaths: 244 (57 in the last 24 hours) Recoveries: 995 Deaths/(Deaths+Recoveries): 19.7% |
I have to disagree, right now its not a huge deal in the US. The flu should be more worrysome to you than the Conv19.
By the numbers per the CDC, these are the official US numbers so far as of yesterday 3/5/2020 200 cases confirmed in the U.S, 50 of the cases are in individuals evacuated from either Wuhan, China or the Diamond Princess cruise ship. 13 in Washington state and 1 in California — have died. |
The cruise ship test data they have so far is interesting. With about 50% of the tested being infected that's somewhat telling. I'm a little surprised that half were able to avoid the infection.
|
2 have died in Florida as of now. Out of 11 infected.
|
As of today, March 7th, 2020
US Statistics look like this: Confirmed: 340 Deaths: 17 Recoveries: 8 Recovery Rate: Recoveries/(Deaths+Recoveries): 32% |
Phil, it looks like SD has been hit now with COVID-19 including on death. They haven't determined yet that COVID-19 was the cause of death but the person that died tested positive for COVID-19.

4. The male who we were told was in very poor health, the virus is what finished him off unofficially of course. All the people who have tested positive had traveled that was the connection to the virus. I do have a concern for older folks and people with risk of respiratory issues but other than that......life as normal |
So it appears that the sh*t has hit the fan.
World wide bans are going into effect by the end of the week. Travel- inconus from: Europe (not UK), Asia, Mid East and Africa. Minimum 14 to 30 days. Fed travel in conus restricted; mission critical (CO approval required) OCONUS same as inconus but program directorate approval. schools are closing across the state, no social gathering larger than 250 people. No sporting events. As an interesting side note, the UW communicable disease research group in Seattle was doing a study of Flu transmission patterns in the NW starting back around Christmas. When this Corona crap started up they started looking at their sample pool and tested a bunch of the their samples against the COVID -19, guess what they found... as many as 30% aren't the flu. That's right it's corona. The state and fed's just slapped an injunction on the release of their data, (showing that corona was here as much as 2 months ago.) They're up to something, just don't know what yet.:( |
I will add that you should use LIQUID soap and paper towels to help prevent the spread of anything including the virus

This is the first site that posted the original article. Since the state clamped down on them the article has been subplanted. They still admit to knowing about the virus since late 2019, they no longer state how they came learn of it nor the human connection. The original article was dated 3/2 now there are only articles dated from 3/3. The other interesting tidbit is the link that my wife found the article on in her faceplant circle is gone to... OOooop's I was actually hoping to pull it out of cashed history but win 10 and edge don't function like apps of old. I remember reading and being surprised that their data indicated numerous reports of symptoms that were very flu like though the test results came back negative influenza. So, if it wasn't flu then what was it and why were they so lacidazicle about chasing it down. Now 2 months later this shit pops up in China and we're off to the races in a pandemic! The local ABC channel KOMO 4 aired the Pence visit and our Gov. DIPSTICK. Interestingly big J made a bit of a slipup too. He stated that UW viral research already had testing protocol that was 99+% accurate and they had the capacity to run 200+ a day, but that they were waiting on CDC approval. So how is that the university in what is now called ground zero for the nation already has a test setup for this stuff? A mass test no less... Hmmm still no approval and still no testing. Just seems funn y how there are so many inconsistencies in the time line, and the timing of this crap with the mass media scare tactics and financial melt down with literal social isolation right before an ensuing election. Makes ya wonder who's trying to influence the elections this time... Gee have the Russian's posted any infection numbers? How about the democrats?? |
COVID-19 Statistics as of 13 Mar 2020
