Wife's new pistol

Well, the mother in law suggested that the wife and I go to dinner. Not very often we do that. So we eat and have a couple of beers. Wife wants to go walk the pier but the rain was starting. So, I said let's go up to our favorite gun shop and browse. Low and behold they had a Springfield 911 in 380 for 560... sold. She loves it, can operate the slide with no issues. And she can purse carry this one compared to her shield 9mm. Sadly I now have to stock .380 and find a full box of sd ammo.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2f43e815f1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f0fce934e1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a19bb76fd7.jpg

Anytime you can get mama to carry and practice...? It's a good thing.

Nice pick up! Those little guys are great guns. A bit pricey but, they work. Congratulations. Try the Federal HST in 380.

So, can you hit the broad side of a barn from inside the barn with it?

That's my biggest complaint about most of the mouse guns.

It’s all in the human behind the sights. I can shoot my M&P Bodyguard 380 almost as good as my PPS M2 and the full sized pistols. Today’s mouse guns are not the same ones of yesterday. At least in my experiences.

One day at the range many years ago, I had my Walther PP in 32 ACP and another guy had his Beretta Tomcat in 32 ACP.

Then not too long ago at deer camp, I had my Browning 1911-380, and my brother in law had his Ruger LCP in 380 ACP.

Same thing happened both times. They could not believe how accurate my mouse gun was and how sweet the trigger was...and in comparison how incredibly inaccurate their mouse gun was and how lousy the trigger was.

Not all mouse guns are created equal. Then and now...which is why I had to ask...

Range report: was a great day. Her first mag was not bad at all. A few ftfeeds but we got through them. I polished the feed ramp so next time we will see.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...230c1ebe69.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d1591156e6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9171f24fa1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2d69792c98.jpg

maybe I'm old school, but I still think of a "mouse gun" as a close quarter "get off me you bas**rd" gun. Some other's opinions may vary...

That would be a "belly gun" - You shove it into their belly and pull the trigger.

I'd like to be able to hit something at 7-10 yards if the need arose. That's out of range for some pocket pistols, but not mine.

That was a 10 yd target. She has the shield but for her purse carry it is not very light in her words. this one fits perfectly in her purse. On her shield she has a hard time operating the slide. And heck most of the time she is with me and I carry more than enough ammo.

And most of us know that it is not our place to tell a woman what she wants.. especially when she is holding a gun!!
