You should probably burn any loose wood or branches so they don't become projectiles. :p do it in your skivies and the Yankees will evacuate a little faster!

Riverpigusmc 09-01-2016 02:45 PM

funny

TLE2 09-01-2016 03:16 PM

I thought it was going to be a joke about crazy braces in Florida. I'm disappointed.

Y'all stay dry now, ya hear?

With 80%+ humidity that is impossible to do even without the severe weather!

Just got reports from family in Wesley Chapel that they got a quick squall that threw some branches and a stop sign around. Or it could have been a local who hit Total Wine for hurricane supplies!

I'm from Wesley Chapel. :D There was a Tornado Warning between 14:15 and 14:45 EDT today, but the area was actually North Pasco (St. Leo) and much of Hernando County..... <pause>

Well, now we're under a 2nd Tornado Warning until 15:45 but for NW Pasco and Hernando (I'm SE Pasco). A Supercell is moving north with rotation detected.

Back to ya later...

Thoughts and prayers for y'all.

milkmanjoe 09-01-2016 06:36 PM

South Carolina house is dead in the middle of the track. I decided not to go this morning. New metal barn roof on, back of house half done with new windows. Sixty foot tall Oak trees all around...This should get intere$ting.

Caleb 09-01-2016 07:27 PM

Stay safe out there.

Riverpigusmc 09-01-2016 07:57 PM

I tied my smoker to the car port. Too damn big and heavy to put inside. From the sounds outside and the waving of the pine trees, the ass kicking is fixin' to commence

DrHenley 09-01-2016 08:36 PM

Hang in there pig, we'll be praying for y'all!

One of the first storms my wife and I went through as new homeowners had us cranking down shutters, clearing the yard of all debris. That included bringing my new gas grill into the living room. After day two waiting for a storm that stalled I seriously considered lighting the grill up inside. We prepared way to early and the storm barely brushed us. Indoors with shutters for two days was mind numbing. I was getting cabin fever and had to get that grill out to do some grilling!

Riverpigusmc 09-01-2016 08:51 PM

I spent three days on the Austin (LPD) riding out a hurricane in the 80's off Moorehead City. Shoulda seen some of those city yankee boys :p

Gunny wrote me up for going on the secured weatherdecks to take pics. This deal will be a breeze

NAMVET72 09-01-2016 08:55 PM

Yes, we will see Mike, just be safe

9:00am report for Tampa Bay - We're dealing with the last major band of the storm. Still some heavy rains and winds to 35mph, gusting to 45. Still under a Tropical Storm warning until 6p tonight, but no more tornado watch.

Hopefully, just this last band to deal with and that's it.

Caleb 09-02-2016 09:56 AM

Glad no major issues for you guys.

As of 11am, the NHC cone track shows the Tropical storm warnings lifted for the entire gulf coast. Only near Fernandina Beach are they still in effect. But Weather.com still shows them as in effect for Pasco County FL until 3pm. We'll see. Right now, all is quiet, a little breezy, but very soggy. Let's hope we dry out soon.
