Actually, she's a really nice person, not a bimbo. Sometimes the anchors have to ask questions to lead the conversation.

^^^^This. For those that don't know, I work at Newsmax. I hired her. I know her and this is exactly what she was doing.

I rarely get offended on these boards, but calling someone I personally know and respect a bimbo because she was playing devil's advocate to try to cover both sides of a story really gets under my skin.

The truth of this is the executive producer of the show has known Bob for almost 20 years. She is a close friend of his. Almost all our anchors are gun people. JD is from Arizona where he regularly open carries. Another anchor not on this clip was trained by Bob. We have yet another anchor who has talked to Bob about taking the concealed carry class with his girlfriend.

But to be truly fair you have to ask tough questions. That's what she was doing, not being a liberal bimbo. Sorry, rant over.

I've been watching it over and over since yesterday. It's making the rounds on facebook. I didn't see a bimbo anywhere, I did see her prompting conversation that needs to be had. Guess I just get it.

My apologies for lighting this fire.

The way she asked those questions was what got my attention.

For example, she said (not a direct quote, but close), "Do we need an IQ test for someone to buy a gun?"

I would have expected a pro-gun reporter to say, "What about the suggestion that we need an IQ test to buy a gun?"

See the difference? One sounds like the individual asking the question, while the other does not.

Anyway, I did not intend to cast aspersions on anyone and I apologize for that.

It certainly was not my intention to piss anybody off, apparently my first impression of the young lady is incorrect ….apologies.

Thanks guys. Newsmax is trying to grow. Trust me when I say that we pay attention to the details of this stuff. We had one early host who could not keep her liberal ideas to herself. The network is trying to be fair and ask tough questions to both sides.

This being a HUGE point. Notice FOX news roundtables and discussions have liberal contributors in the conversation. I believe this is necessary.

Point taken and agree. I rarely watch the news unless I stream it on the laptop. Opposing viewpoints sell, it would be boring to listen to people all the time that agree. FWIW, bob you did great.
