Those are beautiful grips, Zane, even with the fact that I'm not a "fancy" wood grip fan.

The knife you propped them up on , a Buck 110 folding hunter unless I'm mistaken, brings me back a ways.

I have one that rode on my hip for 22 years in the navy. It's been around the world a few times, and got me out of my share of scrapes.

Nice knives! Got Sean one for his 16th birthday. He was very proud to have one just like Dad's. I'll try to scare up a picture of mine.

well you were close Tom, that's actually a puma game warden, my dad bought it new back in 73 and it was his EDC for about 30 years till he retired it and went to a case trapper.

but if you got a pic of the buck knife lets see it! he had one of those too.

AutoMag 04-03-2013 03:10 PM

Very nice Zane!!!:)

I could tell it was not a Buck 110 but a Puma Game Warden by the nail mark or nail nick whatever you want to call it in the blade!!

ABC3 04-03-2013 07:00 PM

I might have to start thinking about some new grips for a couple of my guns. Those look great.

So right!

I didn't even see the blade. If I had, I would have known. I had a Puma early on, too. Back in the late '60s I'd guess.

Yes, I've still got the Buck. Although I have many nicer and more expensive knives, the Buck will be the last one I ever part with.

Will take some pics directly and post.
