Howard Imoden II "carved" blade knife. A strange knife, carved to imitate a flint snapped knife with a Buffalo Nickel inlayed in the handle. I came with a Rabbit Fur covered sheath.

I got a new knife. I've been reading about these flipper knives and decided to get one. The brand is Civivi which is a budget brand made by We Knives. We is a high end Chinese knife company, not you usual Chinese crap. They are quite expensive so they came out with the budget Civivi brand to make some knives that were more affordable. Civivi aren't cheap, but they really well made and run in the $45-$95 price range. (the least expensive We brand knives run over $250).

I got the Naja model which has 9CR18MOV steel and G10 handle. It has ball ball bearings on the pivot which makes it a really slick opening knife. The blade is 3 3/4" long, and it has a full flat grind.

All is well; last month I was in the hospital twice; once for a nasty infection and the other time for some cardiac issues.

Here's a Tanto, made by Chuck Hawes. It's a big blade; 6" long; 1/4" thick. I really like the Hamon on the blade; the Ivory Micarta could make a very nice canvas for some scrimshaw!
