2013 Update
2013 BUMP!
I just got the email today that I will be receiving my second Garand (actually two of them) tomorrow! Happy Christmas to ME!!!!! I will have to do a photo session with both of them. |
PS: There are some beautiful rifles in this thread.
Any more pics from members with new acquisitions? |

Not exactly new acquisitions, but I picked these two up together a few months ago.
http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/v...psf60c4bbc.jpg The Garand is a 1953 or 54 H&R. The carbine is a 1944 Winchester. |

When I was on a re-supply mission in Nam, I managed to "acquire" an M-2 carbine with banana clips and a couple hundred rounds of .30 cal. I sold it for $50 before rotating back to the States and later found out the guy I sold it to, shipped it back home broken down and stuffed into two Vietnamese dolls! I didn't have the sack to to ship it home. He later sold it to the local FBI agent who gave it to his wife for deer hunting! He was from Catawissa, Missouri. Guess those southern boys have no idea about the federal laws regarding full autos.
