Probably no news to you but the bond he developed with my wife, sitting in her lap and alternately crying and sleeping on the long drive home, was one of the strongest attachments I have ever seen develop.
I was his alpha but she was HIS human and as gentle as he was, generally, any sense of threat toward her brought the wolf out in him.
